FAQ — Reforged Recycling

Question 1

What types of X-ray film do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept industrial NDT (non-destructive testing) film, medical X-ray film, dental X-ray film, veterinary X-ray film, and chiropractic X-ray film. If you are unsure whether your film qualifies, contact us with a description and we will confirm.

Question 2

How do I prepare my film for pickup?

Accepted Answer

Film can be boxed or palletized. Send us your location and an approximate box, pallet, or weight count. Photos of the packaging help us plan the pickup — just avoid sending images that contain patient or other confidential details.

Question 3

Do you pay for the film?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We weigh the film at your site and pay at the agreed rate. The exact rate depends on the type and quantity of film. Contact us to discuss pricing for your specific material.

Question 4

Do you issue a certificate of destruction?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After the film is processed for silver recovery, we issue a certificate of destruction for your records.

Question 5

Why does solar panel disposal require specialized handling in Canada?

Accepted Answer

Solar panels contain hazardous materials including lead, which can leach into the environment if panels are improperly disposed of. Canadian provincial and federal regulations require compliant processing. We handle all regulatory requirements on your behalf.

Question 6

What happens to the panels after pickup?

Accepted Answer

Panels undergo our 'Reforging' process to isolate high-value silver and other recoverable materials. This ensures approximately 90% of the mass is reclaimed while preventing hazardous lead from leaching into the environment.

Question 7

Do you provide a certificate of disposal for solar panels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After processing, we issue a certificate of proper disposal for your records, providing proof that your project met all regulatory requirements.

Question 8

Where are you located and what areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Calgary, Alberta (4412 9 Street Southeast). We serve clients across Canada — contact us to discuss pickup arrangements for your location.

Question 9

Accepted Answer
